Privacy Policy
Mitari, Inc. ("Mitari," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Mitari platform, including our website at mitari.ai and our GitHub App (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and handle information when you use our Services.
By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us and information generated through your use of the Services.
Account and contact information. When you create an account or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, company name, and any other information you choose to provide.
GitHub installation data. When you install the Mitari GitHub App, we receive information from GitHub necessary to operate the integration, including your GitHub username, organization name, and repository names for repositories where the App is installed. We do not receive your GitHub password or OAuth credentials unrelated to the App's installation scope.
Repository and code metadata. To provide automated code review, Mitari accesses the content of files in pull requests and branches within repositories where you have installed the App. This content is processed to generate analysis results and is not used for any purpose other than delivering the Services to you.
Usage and interaction data. We collect information about how you interact with the Services, such as pages viewed, features used, and actions taken within the platform. This helps us understand how the Services are being used and how to improve them.
Communications. If you contact us by email or through the platform, we retain records of that correspondence.
Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, billing and payment details are handled by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Services, including processing pull requests, generating code review findings, and delivering results through GitHub.
- Manage your account and authenticate you when you sign in.
- Send transactional communications, such as account setup emails, security notices, and billing confirmations.
- Send product updates and announcements. We may occasionally send you information about new features or changes to the Services. You can opt out of non-transactional communications at any time by contacting us at info@mitari.ai.
- Improve the Services by analyzing usage patterns and understanding where the platform can be made more reliable or useful.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access.
3. Usage and Analytics Data
We collect standard web analytics data, such as pages visited, referral sources, browser type, and general geographic region (country or region level). This data is used in aggregate to understand traffic patterns and improve the site.
We do not sell analytics data or use it to build advertising profiles.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers. We work with third-party vendors to help operate the Services — for example, cloud infrastructure providers, database hosting services, email delivery services, and payment processors. These vendors are given access only to the information necessary to perform their functions and are not permitted to use it for other purposes.
Legal compliance and protection. We may disclose information if we believe doing so is required by law, regulation, or legal process, or if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mitari, our users, or others.
Business transfers. If Mitari is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice if this occurs and your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
We do not share your source code or repository content with any third party other than the AI model providers used to generate code review results (e.g., OpenAI), and only for the purpose of producing those results.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and usage information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Repository content and code review artifacts processed by the Services may be retained for the duration of your account relationship to support features such as run history and analytics.
If you would like to request deletion of your account or associated data, please contact us at info@mitari.ai.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and regular review of our security practices.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take the protection of your information seriously.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services, such as GitHub or documentation resources. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services, and we encourage you to review their own privacy policies.
8. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at info@mitari.ai and we will take steps to delete it.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you are located, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or request deletion of data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@mitari.ai. We will respond to reasonable requests in accordance with applicable law.
You may also uninstall the Mitari GitHub App at any time through your GitHub settings, which will terminate the App's access to your repositories.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the Effective Date above. Your continued use of the Services after the updated policy becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
